Procurement Items

We will accept auction procurement items from now until March 3rd. We have two drop-off dates scheduled (February 8th & March 3rd). On these dates, you will be greeted at drop-off by our wonderful 7th & 8th graders dressed in 1980s garb. If you cannot drop off during those times, we would be happy to take your items at your convenience.

Need help with procurement? There are plenty of places to procure – your favorite restaurants, bars, kids’ activity locations. Think of items you would like to bid on during the auction. For example, a few bottles of wine and a restaurant gift card, use of your cabin for the weekend, or tickets to a fun concert.

Thank you to the brave souls who have already sent in their prom pictures: they will each receive a Makeda coffee drink ticket soon. Remember to look at the auction bulletin board outside of XDC to see your fellow parents all dressed up!

Please send your prom pictures to auction@st-johnschool.org and receive a Makeda coffee drink ticket! We would love to receive as many prom pictures as possible to make the auction a fun, community event. It’s okay if the prom picture came form a different decade.

VOLUNTEERS

We would like to thank the many people who volunteered to spearhead the procurement spreadsheet, we picked the first one who responded. Thank you, Amy Kim.

Let’s see if that rapid response will happen this week! We are currently looking for a Photo Coordinator, someone who will coordinate our photographers and the classrooms in the winter/early spring. You would create and communicate a schedule amenable to both teachers and photographers, which should take just a few hours of your time. We are also looking for a Volunteer Coordinator who can solicit volunteers and manage the volunteer spreadsheet for the auction activities. Last year’s Sign-up Genius lists all the jobs and is ready for you to use. Additionally, we have other schools who have committed to help, and we can invite high school and college students to help fill our volunteer needs. Much of the work can be done at home. Thank you in advance for considering.

ITEM PROCUREMENT

Please continue your excellent item procurement. Ask businesses you frequent, hotels at which you stay, even if you don’t think the item can stand alone, we can potentially combine your procurement item with another package. Thank you!

WINE

The auction group is still accepting bottles of wine. Grab a bottle when you are shopping or if you don’t have time, think about buying a Scrip card and our elves will do the wine shopping for you! Volunteers will be at morning drop off this Friday, December 16th to collect your wine donations.

NEXT AUCTION MEETING

Our next auction meeting will be on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 7 pm at Flint Creek. Everyone is welcome! It’s a great place to brainstorm ideas and get to know more St. John folks.
